Last Christmas I received a video ipod from my husband. It has been one of the best gifts I have ever received, because of its versatility. I use it every day throughout my day in many different ways. Following are some of the reasons I enjoy this device so much.

Podcasts:

I have the ability to download free podcasts onto my ipod from itunes. The podcast topics vary from business related issues to personal, motivational, and inspirational ideas.

Audio books:

If you are like me and don’t have a lot of time to sit down and read a book, you would enjoy having an ipod too! It allows you to download and listen to a variety of books on your ipod. itunes offers many different titles of audio books that you can download and listen to while you are going to work each morning or during your workout. I have enjoyed listening to several new releases including Donald Trump’s new book Think Big and Rhonda Byrne’s book The Secret.

Music / Music Videos:

I have over 400 songs and music videos on my ipod thanks to my oldest son. He has helped me broaden my music genre to say the least. Some of the songs he has introduced me to that I really like are Foo Fighter, The Pretenders and Finger Eleven, Paralyzer. However, some of his choices I end up deleting, because they definitely don’t fit my taste. But being able to share and discuss different artists with my teenage son is quality time that I would not trade for the world.

Having a video ipod also gives me quality time with my youngest son. In the evenings we often sit in the rocking chair and play a game of “guess which music video this one is.” He will pick his favorite videos and I have to try and guess what the name of the song is and who the artist is. By now I know that he normally picks The Jonas Brothers first.

Photos

My most favorite feature of my video ipod is that I can download pictures of my family’s latest adventure and show them with my friends while on the go. Having access to my family photos while I am traveling on business has helped me be a little less homesick.
